More Info | The Covance Laboratories addition used a combination of aluminum composite and corrugated metal. One of the key requirements included constructing a system where exterior sealant was not used - but the panel system was still curved. Strang Architects recently completed the Novagen project where APW used Sobotec's SL-2000 for the canopies and fascias. Strang again used this product for the curved canopies and curved ellipse that slopes from South to North on the top of the building. The vertical columns in the precast portion of the building are wrapped with curved composite panels. Horizontal corrugated panels were used on the screen throughout the project in conjunction with the composite panels. |

More Info | Harley Davidson's newest plant in Tomahawk utilized a complete wall system, which was designed by APW. The system integrated 6" structural metal studs with flush vertical interior liners and a horizontal ribbed exterior panel to provide a structural and insulated wall. The exterior was composed of 6 shades of grey. Custom mitered corners were used on the exterior to provide continuity of the ribs around the corners. |

More Info | The Waukesha Electric expansion was designed to match the field assembled metal panels on the existing building. APW submitted value engineering along with a proposal which allowed for the field assembled metal panels to be altered to foam core metal panels. APW installed a ribbed panel over the foam core panel at the point where the new and existing panels intersected. The remaining construction included a foam core panel that had a series of minor ribs in the exterior profile. The value engineering APW offered not only saved the owner money, but provided a superior product to the field assembled system. |
